Individuals suffering from the effects of any condition, acute
or chronic, will benefit from Jin Shin Jyutsu. Common complaints,
including those shown at right, can be addressed by balancing the
energy in the body. Jin Shin Jyutsu can help to relieve symptoms
of illnesses which are often not effectively treated by Western
medicine. Used as a compliment to Western medicine, it can reduce
the side effects of medication, and significantly speed up the
recovery process following injury, surgery, or major illness.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is a wonderful source of stress reduction, relieving
both the physical and the mental/emotional effects of the stress
we encounter in our daily lives. Jin Shin Jyutsu also greatly benefits
anyone experiencing emotional trauma or turmoil by helping to bring
about a feeling of inner peace and connection with the universe.
When we feel connected to the world around us, we are better able
to deal with the daily stresses in our lives and with the more
extreme effects of crisis or major transition.
People in therapy find that Jin Shin Jyutsu helps them to integrate
the work they are doing with their therapist and manifest it in
their daily lives.
How it works
Jin Shin Jyutsu heals body, mind, and spirit by balancing
the energy that flows through the body. This energy flows in many
pathways. When these pathways become blocked, disharmony results.
We experience this disharmony as pain, illness, or upset. These
symptomatic messages from the underlying imbalance disappear once
deeper harmony is restored.
The bodys own healing capacity
For healing to take place, the bodys energy must be brought
back into balance. Using various assessment techniques, including
observation, asking questions, touch, and listening to the pulses
in the wrists, the Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner ascertains where
in the body energy is blocked. By placing his or her hands on designated
locations along the energy pathways, the Jin Shin Jyutsu artist
facilitates the removal of blockages, allowing the energy to flow
smoothly, thereby restoring the body to balance. This, in turn,
allows the bodys innate healing ability to operate at full
capacity.
Underlying cause
Frequently, especially in the case of chronic or long-term issues,
there is a deeper emotional or spiritual cause for the disharmony.
Part of the beauty of Jin Shin Jyutsu is that it creates a state
of mental balance and clarity that allows us to notice the deeper
issues and to resolve them.
